((Don't see how the people inside the base keep escaping death from bombardment that would easily cause the collapse of dozens of tunnels and such, not to mention how a handful of tri-trackers manage to block 7000 proton torpedoes, but whatever))

(From Last Round)
The razor wheel bikes took a heavy hit from the anti-infantry batteries but the dropships faired far better from the blast. Four dropships were wiped out in a single blast from the Levelers and the Penetrators but the Anti-Armor Batteries lacked the punch to penetrate their shields. They managed to make it to the main entrance fairly quickly. The transports were under heavy siege from the Y-Wings, but the all the extra power from the engines being poured into the shields allowed them to sustain them, if only barely. The captains of the transports prayed that their defenses would hold long enough to protect the troops.
Meanwhile in orbit, Laron watched as the planetary ion cannon fired yet another pointless shot towards the north pole, this time at one of his heavy cruisers, which thanks to the planetary governor's indesicion, had managed to get well out of his range. Then he watched the Golan IV platform decloack and begin bombardment of the thrustships, but he wasn't too concerned because the shields on the thrustships rivaled those of his star destroyers. He then listened to reports that Octavious' fleet had exited hyperspace over Hoth's southern pole and had divided into three forces, and two were heading this way from two different directions. This was NOT going to be fun.
Damage:
Thrustships: hull undamaged, shields down to 96%
Dropships: 4 destroyed, 2 with heavy shield damage
Razor Wheel Bikes: 6 destroyed
Transports: shields down to 11%
Majestic Heavy Cruiser Champion: shields back up to 40%, 20% of ship still disabled, 1/2 of energy weapons online; all due to repairs

(New Round)
Csapl'Aro'nuruodo watched as the two battle groups of Octavious' fleet approached. They should have opened fire when they had the chance, because Laron wasn't about to give them a second one. He turned to Captain Cel and said, "Have all ships begin a tactical withdrawal from the planet. Everyone to high orbit except the thrustships and gunships, have them move to the northern pole. Have the the thrustships target those Lancers, while the Rangers focus on the TIE fighters. Have the Orthavan and Olovin neutralize that blasted defense platform. Disengage the grav-well generators and be ready to call in the Vice Admiral. And have our star destroyers and heavy cruisers take out that Nemesis. And have Champion continue with repairing their systems, we're going to need them. Fighters are to be released to engage enemy fighters and bombers. Fire at will."
The thrustships received the admiral's orders and immediately engaged. They flew right at the heart of the enemy formation with their shields at full strength and dove in, switching positions in the formation in order to disrupt target locks and to give ships the time they needed to recharge their shields. They fired their ion cannons at the command destroyer and the nemesis, hoping to knock out critical systems. However they focused the bulk of their firepower at the Lancer frigates hiding on the flanks, each frigate receiving concentrated fire of fifteen turbolaser batteries and twelve proton torpedoes. Once done there, they retreated to the north pole. The Ranger gunships began a reargaurd action as they retreated to the northern pole, using their quad laser cannons to force the enemy fighters into tighter formations and then using concussion missiles to blow entire squadrons to pieces, all the while taking potshots at the enemy star destroyers with their turbolasers.

The two mon cal cruisers opened fire with half of their ion cannons at the Golan IV platform. They targeted the reactor core, hoping to knock out the station in own shot. Their turbolasers targeted the interdictor star destroyer heading their way. While they were doing that, the heavy cruisers and star destroyers opened up with their heavy turbolasers and torpedoes on the second force heading their way. They targeted critical sections of the system, hoping to remove them from the fight quickly. The captains of these ships coordinated their shots so that a proton torpedo would hit the target a split second after three turbolaser batteries would hit a target area of the shield, resulting in the greatest chance for maximum penetration. While this was happening, the Wraith carriers used their quad laser cannons to pick off any torpedoes from the nemesis star destroyer and any other torpedo-armed ship, hoping to reduce the damage. Also, whenever a heavy bombardment came towards the ships, they would preform a roll across the appropriate axis in order to reduce the damage and preserve shield strength. All of this was being conducted while the ships pulled back towards a higher orbit.
Meanwhile the fighters began their own assault. The E-Wings on the front side of the planet began to immediately engage the enemy TIE's that were with the main fleet, unleashing a flurry of torpedoes and heavy laser cannons. Twenty-two XJ3 squadrons assisted them in the assault. They worked in conjunction with the Rangers, using lasers to herd them into tight clusters and then vaporize them with torpedoes, all the while evading enemy fire with their superior speed and maneuverability and relying on their shields to survive. Meanwhile, all eleven B-Wing squadrons focused their efforts on the Constraint Command Destroyer. Following, similar principles as the thrustships, they flew in and fired a heavy barrage of ion cannon fire at the hangar bay, hoping to disrupt the forcefield around the bay as well as localized shield emplacements. The B-Wings then fired off their full torpedo complement, with the intention of the missiles exploding INSIDE the hangar bay, where there was extra parts, fighter fuel, munitions, and all sorts of other explosive materials that could gut a warship. The survivng bomber squadrons were following a similar approach. Regrouping with their brothers from the north pole, the bombers began lining up for a bombing run on three of the ImpStar's.

Over on the left side of the planet, the other starfighter squadrons had also moved in to engage the enemy capital ships and fighters. Seventeen E-Wings concentrated on the TIE fighters protecting the capital ships, while the C-Wings and B-Wings engaged with the full ferocity of their weapons. The B-Wings followed the same pattern of attack on the Nebulon-B frigates as they did on the Constraint, a massive ion barrage followed by a series of proton torpedoes, this time though they fired their torps on the spine of the ship, a structural weak point. The C-Wings divided their forces among the interdictor star destroyer and the two Victory Star Destroyers.
Meanwhile, on the ground, the Hawk airspeeders switched focus and engaged the defending starfighters, with the transports assisting and giving the Jackhammer's the targeting data necessary to target the enemy fighters with their own torpedoes. The Savrip personal walkers and Balista assault speeders broke off to deal with the planetary defense weapons. The Razor Wheel bikes continued running interference for the dropships, which entered the base and fired off another volley of concussion missiles, this time also firing a barrage of laser and blaster fire to cover the disembarkment of their troops. The Behemoth assault tanks also opened fire on the defending fighters with their projectile cannons, as well as the incoming bombers.

(New Round due to Merk not posting)
Csapl'aro'nuroudo was surprised with the fact that the fleet seemed to be completely oblivious to the incoming weapons fire. The Warlord's fighters were being shredded and his capital ships, well, they were getting gutted. It wasn't a pretty sight. Despite the damage the enemy was taking, Laron couldn't help but feel annoyed. Octavious was insulting him by ignoring the fire. Well then, he was going to have to do something about that...
The two mon cal cruisers fired up their engines and accelerated to flank speed, moving on a course that takes them on a line sixty degrees relative to the main force. As they performed the maneuver, the two ships began a full axial roll to bring the full force of their guns on their targets while dispersing incoming fire. As the cruisers cleared, the star destroyers and heavy cruisers opened fire on the star destroyers while the carriers and the Cal Omas fired on the light cruisers. The three star destroyers formed up in an assault wedge while the heavy cruisers created a rotating ring around them. The resulting barrage took the form of a rotating cone. As they fired, the fleet slowly accelerated to 2/3 thrust towards the Warlord’s battle group. The fighters continued with their combat tactics, herding the enemy squadrons into larger flocks and then dumping torpedoes into the group. Meanwhile, the bombers dumped their torpedoes and bombs onto their targets. Meanwhile, the StealthX squadrons fired up their systems and began moving towards the enemy fleet. The thrustships and gunships began moving up into high orbit, all the while firing missiles and torpedoes into the enemy fighters.
While the battle continued in orbit, the ground troops moved rushed into the base firing their weapons. Once they cleared the initial area, several comm officers began slicing into the computer systems while several more began scanning combands and trying to decrypt the enemy comm channels. The engineers went into the cleared tunnels, set det packs, and blew holes in the floor. As each hole was made, several grenades were dropped into the holes and they dropped into the floors below and unleashed a barrage of blaster fire on any unsuspecting defenders.

((Ok it's been 24 hours. Merk seems to have left Conflicts again. I'm going to just end this battle in one big post. And I would appreciate it if management would give final approval on the outcome please.))
Laron watched with satisfaction as the torpedoes launched by the B-Wings penetrated the weakened shields and toar through the decks of the Constraint Command Destroyer and triggered secondary explosions that shredded the ship into several large pieces and many, many smaller ones. Laron also noticed a small shuttle manage to leave the massive warship as it fell apart and jumped to hyperspace. He then ordered the fighters to finish off the enemy TIE squadrons, which they performed with incredible ferocity. The B-Wings and C-Wings would first engage the TIE's while the E-Wings and X-Wings picked them off with torpedoes and laser bursts. Meanwhile the Alliance fleet slowly pushed itself into the heart of Octavious' fleet, firing a combination of turbolaser and ion cannon fire. As the enemy shields failed, the warships steadily switched over to ion cannons in order to protect what was left of the battered fleet.
The Lancer Frigates were limping from the earlier barrage launched by the thrustships, with the Carrack Cruisers in a similar state. The ImpStars and VicStars had lost their bridge towers from heavy torpedo bombardment, along with the Dominator Interdictor Destroyer. The Nebulon-B Frigates were crippled. While the commanders of the frigates managed to keep their shields between the hull and most of the incoming torpedoes, many of them got through and tore through drive sections and keels, leaving hulls battered, fractured, and drifting. The Dreadnaughts had managed to survive the battle but were fighting conservatively, and the Nemesis had taken a large amount of ion cannon fire, resulting in most of its systems being disabled.
Laron watched as the battle unfolded. He waited for several minutes before he requested a transmission to the warlord's fleet. "Attention all vessels. This is Rear Admiral Csapl'Aro'nuruodo of the Galactic Alliance Third Fleet. Your ships are battered, your base is falling to our ground troops, and your fighter squadrons have been wiped out. On top of that, your warlord's flagship has been wiped out and your master has jumped to hyperspace. I am calling on all ships currently loyal to Octavious to surrender. I will garauntee you all amnesty and safe passage back to Octavious' domain if you so desire. For those of you who wish to continue service in a military, even the Alliance military, I will do everything in my power to ensure that you are capable of serving in my forces. But in the meantime, cease fire and prepare for boarding." He then turned to Captain Cel and ordered all available space marines to proceed to the surrendering ships.
Hundreds of shuttles launched from the various ships of Laron's fleet and proceeded towards the battered fleet under cover from star destroyers, heavy cruisers, and fighter squadrons. The shuttles moved in on the warships and entered the launch bays of the damaged warships and immediately assumed control of the hangar as the marines flooded from the shuttles. They immediately move out and assumed control of engineering, the bridge, and auxiliary bridge in the event that the primary bridge was destroyed. Soon, every ship in Octavious' fleet was under Laron's control and were beginning emergency repairs so that they could be jumped to a system with shipyards where they could be repaired.
As the ships were boarded, a similar broadcast was issued to the defenders of Octavious' base. Many of the defending troops surrendered without a fight, but the command staff destroyed the research material and then committed suicide. The command staff had tried to activate the self-destruct, but the surrendering troops managed to sever the command systems from the self-destruct system. Soon, the surviving base was under Galactic Alliance control. Efforts were put into motion to repair the battered troop transports, using supplies from the base. In orbit, after 36 hours of heavy labor, hyperdrive systems were repaired or replaced in the battered remains of Octavious' relief force. Once the systems were online, they proceeded to jump to Coruscant-the Alliance's only repair yard, leaving the Golan IV platform-recently repaired-to defend the planet...for now.
