| Varesk Kre'fey sat at his desk in the Imperial Palace on Coruscant, looking out at the view. At last Coruscant was taken and the Empire was falling back. Unfortunately, Imperial holdouts were still strong and it would probably take years for them to be fully ferreted out. To add to the problems, the reestablishment of the Senate meant that the New Republic was at risk for deadlock and corruption. This would significantly reduce his ability to win the war. He sighed, and thought to himself: one battle at a time. He looked over his itinerary for the next day. It involved a speech to the population, and to the New Republic at large. Varesk hated giving speeches and he wasn't looking forward to this one. But it needed to be done and so he'd do it. Plus it might alleviate some of the pressure coming from his fellow Bothans. Probably not actually...
