Born to a family of aristocrats on Corellia, Ulessi was young when a travelling Jedi Master recognised his potential as candidate for training as a Jedi. His family allowed his absence and he travelled with the Jedi Master for many years, learning the way of the Force from him even as they performed good deeds for various colonies. Without any help from his master, Ulessi built his first lightsaber, demonstrating an almost unique connection with the Force and a dedication to the way of the Light. When he was put forward as a Jedi Knight, Ulessi pledged that he would continue as a wanderer, never really settling down at the Jedi Praxeum, only returning occasionally for formal functions and urgent meetings. He made his life a dedication to heroism and performed many heroic feats, being present at the storming of Coruscant by the Imperials and joining a bold mission to break the back of the Sith which, although failing, proved his skill to all.
During his travels, Ulessi found schematics for the Eta Actis 5 Starfighter, a preferred starship for Old Republic Jedi and decided to take it as his ship of choice. For many years he travelled the galaxy with it, refining it and customising it heavily, painting it the same colour as the lightsaber he was constructing. He made two new Electrum Lightsabers, becoming heavily proficient in Jar Kai, but still preferring to use one lightsaber unless the situation called for it. It was at this point in time that Ulessi was called back to the Academy and elevated to the rank of Jedi Master. On occasion he took Jedi Knight Jason Na'moda under his wing and provided the voice of reason to several endeavours the Jedi underwent. He studied the form of Vaapad as a Jedi Master and quickly mastered it, completely controlling his emotions rather than losing himself to the corrupting form. Finally he refined Form Zero, a form of defence begun by Master Yoda and used it several times when the situation prevented him from using his lightsaber.
It wasn't long before his patience and skill was rewarded with the elevation to the rank of Jedi Council Member. Which he made sure he didn't disappoint with. A firm believer in the light side of the force, the council couldn't wish for a more staunch or skilled member.
