Cayle watched as the ISD Fearsome as it glided silently through the shipyards, heading toward berth 28Beta. Off in the distance an aging Vic Star was leaving the shipyards, heading back to one of the pacified areas to begin patrolling. All around him, the sights of Imperial Splendor were made evident.

Yaga Minor was one of the major shipyards left in the Imperial Remnant and he, Cayle, was the Sector Moff of Beta Sector, which included them. Therefore, he considered himself a vital cog in the Imperial War Machine. In addition to running the sector, Yaga Minor was benefiting from the commerce coming through the area to the shipyards. His citizens were happy and alien were accepting of their roles in the Empire.

Yes it was good to be Cayle... except for one thing... or THE one thing.

Cayle still hadn't found anyone to train him in the Force. Sure, he knew force users... even Darth Revan, the Emperor's Hand was a force user, but Cayle didn't want everyone to know his abilities and wanted to be trained to use the powers himself... not be used by someone else.

So he still had out clandestine feelers to the far ends of the Empire and to the galaxy to see if his agents could find any force users to train him. The time it took was consuming as he only had a few agents that he trusted implicitly. So they were working for him.

Until then, he would continue running Beta Sector for the glory of the Empire.

== Sector Moff’s Palace ==

Cayle grunted as he pressed the bar up away from his body. His arms strained, threatening to give out underneath the weight of the bar. He brought it down to his chest and then pushed it up again. Then he repeated the exercise, feeling the burn in his arms that was matched in his shoulders and upper back. For the next hour, Cayle continued to workout. He wasn’t vain… well maybe he was a little, but he knew that as a Sector Moff, he needed to keep himself in the peek of physical fitness. He had always groaned when he saw those Warlords and Officers that were overweight and out of shape. They were an example of the government set forth before the people and needed to exemplify the grandeur of the Empire. Kindda hard to do so when your gut is hanging over your waistband and sweat staining through your uniform. Cayle was so glad when Zsinj died. Not only was he a traitor to the Empire, he was also a glutton who did not respect himself enough to keep in shape. Cayle vowed that it would never happen to him, so at least 2 hours a day he worked out to keep his body in shape. He usually changed it up so that one day he would do heavy weights and then next two days it was cardio training and then stretching.

One more rep and Cayle put the bar back on the rack and sat up. Sweat was dripping down his face so he grabbed a towel and wiped it clean.

“Jeeves, please come in here,” he called out into the corridor. A moment later, Cayle’s bronze protocol droid entered the weight room. “May I help you sir?”

“Please download my schedule to my Datapad and tell me what’s next on my agenda for today.”

“Yes, sir. Right away sir.” Jeeves left the weight room and Cayle could hear him at a terminal, working away. Cayle went over to where his water was sitting on the counter and picked it up and took a drink. By the time he had finished, Jeeves returned.

“Sir, you have one meeting with the planetary governor’s at 0900 hours, followed by a ship christening. The Imperial Warship Radiance is being completed in the docks. That is at 1500 hours and then the defense fleet is conducting a war games simulation at 2200 hours.”

Ah yes, the war games simulation. Cayle, even though he was now a Moff, had never forgotten his time in the military. He was still more experienced than most of the active officers and so he had them training constantly to keep them at peek fighting performance. At first the officers had resented him… until they had seen their next performance evaluations and how well their people had improved. Now, most of the officers, while loyal to the Empire, were also loyal to him.

“Thank you Jeeves, that is all.” The protocol droid left and Cayle left the weight room to go to his personal quarters. He had just enough time to shower, change, eat and get to the conference room to meet with the Governors.

A single A-wing would exit hyperspace just within the planet's sensors. As the fighter moved closer to the planet, the pilot would hail the planet, asking for permission to land and speak with the Sector Moff.

== Yaga Minor Space Control ==

The little ship almost didn't register on the sensor board, but when it did, it was like a concussion grenade going off. A rebel ship appearing at one of the most secure shipyards of the Empire.

"Scramble Code 7 to Moff Briggs. Tell him we have an intruder. Release Avatar and Interloper Squadrons to intercept the intruder."

The Communications Officer sent the messages out and then sent a communique to the A-Wing.

Unidentified Intruder, Identify yourself or be destroyed. Do not deviate from flight path or be destroyed. Respond!"

Two Squadrons of TIE Defenders and part of the defense fleet moved into position to cut off the ship.

The A-wing was quickly seen on scanners and would soon be surrounded by fighters bringing it in. The pilot quickly responded,"I am a representative from the Sith Imperium. I have been sent to speak with the Moff and possibly create and alliance of sorts." He would follow the escorts, making sure to keep his ass safe.

The ship was quickly led down through the atmosphere to Yaga Minor. Instead of being led to the Moff's Palace, the ship, along with the 2 squadrons of Defenders were routed to a Vacation Estate at the Western most tip of the city. Unbeknownst to anyone, except the builders and Cayle, an underground secret monorail had been built to take the Moff quickly out of harms way. As the ships came down, Cayle was just exiting the train car and proceeding up the steps. He arrived at the landing pad at the A-Wing fighter was directed to land. Four squads of troopers formed up around the ship and the Moff, behind the transparent blast shield. There, he waited for the representative of the Sith to emerge for their ship.

The A-Wing fighter would follow its escort down to the western tip of the city. It would land down in the hanger. The man inside proceeded to shut down the engines and all other systems of the fighter. He had a feeling that his visit here could last a bit before he would be leaving to meet back up with his Master. The cockpit to the fighter slowly rose after depressurizing. The man inside stood and began to climb out as he saw the man he was looking for was waiting for him. As he climbed out, he didn't take his focus off of the troopers and the Moff. As his feet landed on the ground of the hanger, he spoke out to the Moff, "Greetings, Moff Briggs. I am called Jead'en. I believe that there is something we need to speak of...maybe in a more private setting?" He would motion to the troopers as he would suggest a more private meeting. Jead'en, the Dark Lord's Apprentice, wasn't sure if the Moff's followers knew that he was a Force Sensitive.

Cayle managed to keep a mildly amused and interested smile on his face. Inside, he felt that this was either a very good thing... or a very bad thing.

"Certainly, Jead'en... Of course, you must understand that because of the nature of my position, I just insist on having you searched weapons and we can either hold them or you can return them to your ship, your choice of course."

== In Cayle's Private Chambers ==

As the doors shut, Cayle pressed a button underneath his desk, sealing them and turning on the anti listening devices, making it almost impossible to hear or record what was going on in the chambers.

"So Mr. Jead'en. What is it that I may do for the Sith Imperium?"

Cayle knew that he walked a fine line between common courtesy and treason. The Emperor was wary of the Sith and so far had no official contact with them. The way that this meeting would go would dictate whether Cayle turned over this Sith to the Emperor, or kept it secret.

{tag Jead'en}

As Jead'en was asked to leave his weapons, he took his lightsaber off of his belt and tossed it back into the cockpit of the A-Wing fighter. He would follow the Moff to a more private area. He took it that the button that was pressed upon their entrance would protect and secure what would be said in there.

"So Mr. Jead'en. What is it that I may do for the Sith Imperium?" That was the first thing that was said to him. It was now his turn to inform the Moff of his Master's plan. He took a few steps forwards, "My Master has a proposition for you. He has felt the conflict inside of you. He can feel the presence of the Dark Side within you, and knows that you need someone to show you the ways. He has sent me, if it is approved by you, to help you with what you seek. He needs, nor wants anything in return. We, the Sith Imperium, know of the importance of having the Dark Side flourish in the Galaxy once more...."

Cayle kept any emotion off of his face. Could this actually be an offer... an offer that he was looking for. Or was this just another attempt to undermined the Empire. Cayle looked down at the console. A beeping light showed him that a message was waiting... a message from the Emperor. He would look at it after his matter with the sith was concluded. Maybe this was it... the only chance he would get to be trained in the arts of the Force. Then he made his decision.

"I welcome any training that the Sith might be able to grant me, but it should be known, up front, that my first loyalty is to the Empire, not the Sith. I answer to the Emperor and not to your Master. If you and your Master can accept that, then I am in your hands. If not, then I thank you for your time and I must ask that you leave the Sector."

Cayle waited for the answer to come from Jead'en.

Jead'en would hear the acceptance from the Moff. A small smirk came to his face. He gave the man a simple nod as he responded, "My Master had no intention of using you, or of having your allegiance. He understands the job you've been granted with. He will be pleased to hear that there is another person in the Galaxy that follows the Dark Side." He noticed the Moff glance down at the console moments before his decision, "If there is another matter for you, I can leave the room until you are finished..."

Jead'en would be the one training the Moff in the ways of the Force. It would be a tedious process, but one that was neccessary.

Cayle pressed a button and summoned an aide. He came in and stood at attention.

"Lieutenant Rhoan, we have a diplomat that will be staying with us for a while. Please see to his housing at one of the more secure and secluded Ambassadorial Estates." The Lieutenant nodded and then turned and left the office. Cayle approached Jead'en with a datapad.

"While here, you will be an ambassador from the little known planet of Corvis Minor. You will be given access to come and go as befits an ambassador. I will arrange for standard training times and this pass will let you come and go to my personal palace. Lose it, or venture anywhere else, and you will be shot down. I have no doubt that you are very good at your job and your skills in the force are considerable, but that won't do much against a planet full of Stormtroopers. Plus, if it ever got out that you were here and training me, I would expect that we would have a rather quick visit by the Emperor's Hand."

Jead'en didn't turn as the man came into the room. He waited till he was spoken to by the Moff. He gave him a slight nod as he showed him that he understood.

"That will not be a problem. I've always wanted to enjoy a vacation on Yaga Minor..." He took the datapad from the Moff and bowed slightly before leaving the room, giving him the chance he needed to respond to the message that was awaiting him.

Cayle waited until Jead'en was gone and then let out a little bit of a shudder. The man exuded power... power that Cayle wanted. He wanted to be able to walk into a room and have others shudder with awe and dread at his appearance... at least, more than they did now.

But until that time, he had work to do. He looked down at the message from the Emperor and grew excited by what it meant. The Empire was going on the offensive and Yaga Minor would be a lynchpin for the entire campaign. He knew that the Force was bringing all of this about to have him grow in skills and abilities. While he would always remain loyal to the Empire, but to the Emperor's right hand man... now that would be something.
