Bio: Jay was born to a relatively normal Mandalorian family. His father, an engineer at a space shipyard for MandalMotors, was a warrior at heart, and taught his son the true values of what it meant to be an honorable combatant. His father was also a part time mercenary like most modern Mandos and, when Jay came of age at 8, was brought with him to combat on a small skirmish a few lightyears away.

Jay, with only a pistol of his own and contained to a small parapet with his father, took the lives of two of his enemies with the smart practice he had acquired over the years. His father was extremely proud, and the two continued their training over the course of Whest's adolesence.

Jay reached the age of 18 in what seemed like short time to himself. He knew his combat skills and tactical mind would be useful to a military, and his father was a supporter of the Galactic Alliance so Jay enlisted in the GA Army division.

Whest made short order of boot camp, being passed onto Officer Candidate training. He excelled at leadership qualities, and his charisma was enviable. Whest graduated with a commission of 2nd Lieutenant as a platoon commander in the 3rd Sector Army. Jay made a name for himself within his regiment superiors as a bold tactical maneuverer and good rifle shot, and his promotion to 1st Lieutenant came with a change of position.

Moved from platoon command to something unfamiliar to him Lieutenant Whest was made the regiment executive officer's operations officer, dealing out orders from the Lt. Colonel and also leading a team in small infantry operations. Jay's military career blossomed at the age of 25, when he received a promotion to Captain and took command of his own platoon. Assigned as the tactical advisor for one of the two battalion comprising the 2nd Regiment Whest, along with his rank, saw experience spearheading attacks and performing assault coordination with Army air support.

Jay's skills in the field of battle did not go unnoticed; at the relatively young age of 27 Jay was drafted for Alliance Black Ops, where he was dropped into the murky world of lawlessness and covert operations. Jay's day to day activities changed from directing a battalion's course of action in combat and personally leading to a company to becoming a subordinate to black ops team tasked with assassination and other dirty jobs that the Alliance would never recognize. The corruptness of the Alliance disgusted Jay, along with his passing over for promotion at the age of 30. Jay's sense of injustice outwayed his sense of duty to the GA, and he fled duty, leaving while on a training exercise on Datooine.

Jay, as a former member of the Alliance Black Ops, held valuable secrets of the GA's inner workings. High Command felt this was a dangerous man to have on the loose, and for a year Jay evaded operatives of his former affiliation. Not knowing where to turn, with all connections to his past life cut, Jay turned to the Imperial Remnant.

With only his beskar'gam on his back and a small collection of credits and personal weaponry Jay stole a freighter to Remnant territory, where, using his former training, he snuck to Bastion, home of the Emperor. He payed a visit to the Imperial recruiter. The two had a long talk; Jay's credentials were backed up in the computers of the Remnant. He was surprised to find a small bounty on his head, along with the rest of his squadmates.

Jay knew all he was suited for in life was military life. He requested an activation in any Imperial Special Forces division, and his request was granted in exchanged for information on Alliance Black Ops workings. Commissioned as a Major in the Imperial Guard Jay found himself in a high ranking position in the personal secret service and intelligence service of the Emperor.

The Emperor and Major met occasionally, and Whest made a name for himself as a man who got things done. Jay, as a battalion commander, was never afraid to take a patrol in Bastion's badder districts, and led many a coup de'tat squashing. The Imperial Guard itself was a smaller organization, and did not operate many commissioned officers. It's backbone relied on Warrant Officers and NCOs to lead it's group, with only a limited supervision by commissioned officers.

Thusly, when the Guard's Executive Officer was killed during a riot skirmish Jay was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel and took over the duties of the Guard's XO. Now as a direct overseer of the Emperor's protection Whest had daily contact with the Emperor and his Hand, and was known to directly carry out missions of personal security, patrol, etc. and other planet trotting missions with the Emperor's Hand, all in the pursuit of safety and serenity.

As a five year veteran of the Imperial Remnant the values of order and solidarity stuck with Jay. The strict command order of the Remnant was what Whest had longed for in the GA, and the appreciation of his services struck home with Jay. The Lieutenant Colonel was content with his position in life, but fate had different ideas.

Still a relatively young officer at the age of 37, Jay's past services, recommendations, and awards of merit warranted his promotion to Imperial Guard Commanding Officer and rank of full Colonel. Excited to bring changes to the way the Guard works, Jay takes the position with vigor and has devoted himself fully to the ideals and dreams of the Remnant:

"Rule by force, not by threat of force."
