Bio: Born on Corellia and was a trouble maker from the start but had a gift of getting out of trouble just as easily. He lied about his age and joined the New Republic Defense Force as a pilot. He became an E-Wing ace battling pirates and warlords. On one mission he was shot down on a planet that was being used as a warlord’s main stronghold. He joined up with the ground forces and continued to battle. When several of the officers of the Company he was with were killed it left him as the only ranking officer. Taking command led the remaining troops and a squad of Special Forces troops and eliminated a whole battalion in an ambush. He then led his troops to the stronghold, infiltrated the fortress and captured the warlord. Raynor was decorated for his valor and quick thinking. He was asked to join Alpha Blue but refused but told Admiral Drayson if he needed his expertise during a mission to let him know (Drayson took him up on his offer later. It was during that mission when he would meet his future boss in imperial space). He was promoted to Captain at the age of 23. Quickly rose to the rank of Colonel at the age of 29 where he transephered to the fleet to become the captain of the Imperial II Class Star Destroyer Skyhook. He hadn’t been in command of the ship a year when the Black Fleet Crises occurred. He was pulled from his normal fleet and assigned to bolster the 5th Fleet. The Skyhook was severely damaged in the battle but the ship and crew proved their worth in battle. After the crises he was given command of a small task force within the 3rd Fleet when Pelleaon attacked. Along with the 3rd and 5th Fleets the New Republic pushed the Empire back further. Raynor was promoted to the rank of Commodore and given a full 21 ship task force within the 5th Fleet.

It was here that his problems with the Admiralty and General Officers started to occur. Most didn’t like his command style or his NCO like attitude during staff meetings. Overall Raynor didn’t care as long as the mission was completed and he got most of his men home. If anything while he took great risks he always had the least amount of casualties in fleet exercises and battles which pissed of the Brass even more. His last promotion came right after the truce between the NR and IR to Rear Admiral. As many suspected it would be his last but unlike most of the brass like him (Garm Bel Iblis and Wedge Antillies) he stayed in while the old workhorses retired. With his flag rank was given a special anti pirate task force because if you didn’t carry favor with Borsk Fel’ya you didn’t get favorable assignments but it sat well and his sector of the NR was the most bottled up sector of the galaxy.

It was then that an unknown force attacked. The Vong went through the New Republic like they weren’t even there. Raynor’s fleet was thrown right into the fighting but like what happened most of the time during the early part of the war the fleet was swated aside. While he fought hard the tactics had not found the weakness in the Vong quite yet. Due to his problems with the Admiralty he was not given a new command. Instead he was transephered back to Starfighter Command with the rank of General. While too old to fly he could train and coordinate from a bridge. He was pissed but he at no alternative. While he did not like his job he was damn good at it. He helped develop the fighter tactics against capital ships and individual dog fights. He was eventually paired with General Bel Iblis as his starfighter coordinator. After the failed defense of the capital he fallowed the Iblis to Folor where Iblis gave Raynor a fleet command position again. He was given the Bail Organa, a new advanced star destroyer and her escorts to conduct convoy ambushes and Peace Brigade elimination. He was quite good at both and became the main enemy of the Peace Brigade during this transition period. With General Antillies superior defense of Borealis and the new hope Raynor waited for what was in store for him. Time went by and Cal Omas was elected Chief of State on Mon Calamari. With Ackbar out of reintirment a new overall strategy the Fleet was striking back. Soon thereafter Luke Skywalker came to Folor and convinced Garm to help in a major battle. Leading one of Bel Iblis’s task forces to Ebaq 9 where they smashed the Vong. Soon thereafter everything changed with the New Republic dissolving into the Galactic Alliance. Raynor continued to serve with Garm as his right hand man.
