She was walking along the outside of the room with the amulet dangling loosely from her fingertips. From one of the tables she picked up a ceremonial dagger before she moved over to the seal that covered a large portion of the floor. Her gaze trailed over it lazily before she looked to the sith lord.

"I need you...." She murmured as she stepped onto the seal, then dropped down to the floor again. Her skirts puddled around her in a wave of inky black silk, contrasting to the silver metal scrolls that made up the seal. Ilanah waited there for a moment for him to come closer before she would reach for his hand to pull him down beside her.

A dagger? He wasn't liking where this was going at the moment. He took in a deep breath as she called him over. He quickly sat down next to her as she pulled him down. He wasn't sure exactly what was happening. He had never experienced anything like this before. His eyes focused in on her, trying to figure out what she was about to do. He would only ask a simple question to her, "Now what?"

Without even a seconds hesitation, nor did she remove her gaze from his, she sliced the still sharp blade across the palm of her left hand. Crimson blood started to pool against her milky flesh. If it hurt, she didn't show it. Just as quickly, she did the same to his hand and she let the knife fall with a clatter to the floor. With her other hand, she dropped the amulet against the blood in his hand, then placed hers over it. "It fits....you have to do it...." She murmured as she motioned to the spot on the floor where the amulet would fit.

It was the key, and they were as well.

He would watch calmly as she sliced her hand. It reassured him that she wasn't going to do anything that risked her life. Then, she proceeded on cutting his palm and placing the amulet in his hand. He was impressed that she had figured this all out, as well as them being part of the key to this all. He nodded his head, "If it gets us to what we came here for, then fine..." He had no problem having his blood shed for the benefit of him gathering the energy. He knew that once he siphoned off the energy, he would have to get her out of there immediately. She wouldn't last if they stayed there for too long....

When she dropped her hand from his, she already wasn't doing well. It was too much, more than she had expected. Ilanah pulled herself to the edge of the seal, giving him the space to slip the amulet inside the spot and open the seal so he could take what he had sought. For the moment, the amulet was still talking, but as soon as he would use it as the key, it would stop. In her mind the dark energy that swirled so easily through the tomb had her dazed now. All she could do was watch.

Allowed her to move off, taking the amulet in his hand. He looked down at it, soaked in their blood. His eyes moved in between the amulet and the slot for a second. He grasped his hand around it before placing it down into the spot it would fit so perfectly in. As he let it go, the amulet would fit flush in its spot. He was focused on the amulet until the seal opened, revealing the sarcophagus laying there as it had been for a while. A smile came across his face. He had never felt this kind of power before. His hand reached out. Kal could feel the energy just swirling around it. He began to use his ability to drain the energy from its source. His breathing began to quicken. The surge of power was more than he thought it would have been. There was a bit of worry in his mind if he would be able to handle it all.

Around his hand, a swirling dark cloud formed. It was connected to the sarcophagus. The cloud was the energy moving from it source to his body. It was incredible how much there was. This was nearly twice as much as there was on Ambria. Even though there was more energy there, it was being absorbed so much faster. It could have been cause of the increase in his power, or the fact that this energy matched more of his own. Either way, it was almost finished. He looked back over his shoulder at her, making sure she was still conscious. Turning his focus back at the energy, he saw the very end of it come from the Sith Lord's sarcophagus and absorb right into his palm. He pulled his hand back and quickly turned to her aid, "Come on....we are finished...." He would offer his hand to her to help her up. He had a feeling that he would have to carry her out of this place. If need be, he would.

She had turned onto her back and watched the dark cloud that swirled above. Her gaze trailed to where it was being absorbed into him. Her hand ached, along with her entire body. When he would look to her, he would see that her eyes were closed, but she was not entirely out yet. It was very close. But at least she wasn't talking to herself anymore. Herself or the amulet.

Ilanah reached out to take his offered hand and the blood from her palm dripped down her arm and stained the silk corset she was wearing, but a moment later her arm went limp and it withered to the floor.

Feeling that she was started to rapidly go down hill, Kal quickly pulled her up and into her arms. There was no time to waste, she needed to get out and back to the ship as fast as possible. Once he felt that she was safe in his arms, he allowed the Force to overcome them and aid him and his speed. His body moved at a rapid speed. Not even the chasm stopped him. It had taken them a long time to get through the tomb, but took them seconds to get back out and to the rest of the Sith. As he came out, they rushed around him, wondering what had happened. He moved past them all, taking her immediately to the ship.

Once the landing ramp lowered, he took her up and into her quarters, setting her warn out body down on the bed. He took a moment to look at her, seeing that there was blood on her hand and arm still, he tore a piece of his cloak off and gently wrapped her hand up, making sure to have some pressure on it to stop the bleeding from progressing any further.

Once in his arms, her head fell against his chest. She knew with him she was safe, so she let him take care of her. After all, she had gotten him what he wanted. Ilanah drifted in and out, but she knew the second they were out of the staunchy tomb by the fresh air that filled her lungs. She could hear the Apostles voices, but she still didn't open her eyes. Instead, she was just still.

It was only when they were in the safety of her own room that she would finally start to pull out of it. His hand held hers as he wrapped a portion of his own wool cloak around her palm to staunch the bleeding. "Did you get it all?" She murmured as she opened her eyes to look at him. "Everything?" Her voice came out weakly, but it was there.

He smiled as he heard her voice once he had finished with wrapping her hand. He nodded a little, "I did...got every little bit of it. That is the least of your worries right now..." He would look down at her hand, "You need to get all of your strength back. That was risky of you to keep yourself in there with me..." He was truly worried about her and how she was doing. The last thing he would want to see was her, laying there dead and he couldn't do anything about it.

Ilanah let her eyes slip closed again. "I'm fine...." She said before she squeezed his hand gently. "I wouldn't have been able to get back myself. I wouldn't have made it past the chasm." She said in response before she opened her eyes a little. Lana was a stubborn one, and she struggled a little to adjust the pillows behind herself so she was propped up a bit more.

"Besides, if I had died....you could have fixed it."

Kal nodded slightly at her comment about him being able to fix it. She was correct. His abilities would have allowed him to save her. He smiled down at her, "Hey, at least that amulet isn't speaking to you anymore. Gotta be excited about that, huh?" The amulet made him think about their next stop. This wouldn't be about siphoning off energy, it would be an artifact hunt this time. He just needed to figure out where it was. There were rumors about it, but nothing was a solid lead. If he could get a look inside of the journal, maybe there would be something in there that could help him find what he was looking for.

"Where are we going next?" She asked him as she forced herself to sit up a little bit more. Ilanah was exhausted, physically. "And yes....its not. But....it told me things that...I think it was prophesizing." She said as she reached for the bag with the journal and fumbled for it for a moment. Lana rested the leather book against her stomach for a moment.

"Things you need to know, too."

Watched as she reached for the bag, and fumbled with the Journal. Once she was finished, he would tell her, "We are heading to Umbara next." He would stop and looked at her with a puzzled look, "Prophesizing? Like what? What else did it tell you?"

She sighed and would let him take the journal if he wanted. Lana was unsure if he would be able to read it or not, with his new amount of power and all. "There might be some information in there." She said as she let her eyes close for a moment.

The prophecies were not for sure, nor was she sure if she was interpreting them correctly. "Will you stay?" She asked. She was able to relax around him.
